By June 11, 2018 No Comments

The 6th annual McMaster Symposium on Education & Cognition takes place July 26-27, 2018 at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The two-day event brings together educators, cognitive scientists and policy makers to explore how cognitive science can be applied to educational policy and instructional design.

Over the last five years, we have had the privilege of hosting an outstanding lineup of international speakers. This year, we are fortunate to have a number of prominent women who will give plenary presentations including: Veronica Yan (UTexas), Yana Weinstein (UMass) & Megan Sumeracki (Rhode Island).  Also new this year, we are expanding the reach of the meeting by offering a LiveStream Connection to allow participants to virtually attend the talks (while participating in a moderated discussion).

In addition, evidence-based workshops include new programs on:

1. Experiential learning in a transdisciplinary environment;
2. Writing effective Multiple Choice Qs & Note Taking;
3. Keys to engaging presentation delivery & Productivity in Academia.
