It has been an amazing experience to have lived and worked in different parts of the world and done a fair bit of traveling over the years. This journey continues to inform my perspective and appreciation for diversity and equity. I’m interested in social and critical approaches to education that engage learners in determining content and processes for learning. My current research is focused on distributed leadership and knowledge building in online learning communities.

My work here at the MacPherson Institute centers on many technology-focused projects that our amazing team of designers, media and network specialists, and learning technologists are involved in. I’m a bit of a sports junkie who has engaged in everything from cricket to ice hockey and bowling to marathons–I’ve been playing a lot of squash since joining McMaster.

Happy to talk with you about the types of learning experiences you are trying to create for your learners and how technology can help enhance and facilitate this process.
