McMaster now has single-sign on to PressBooks, an easy-to-use online content publishing platform for creating (or adapting) openly-licensed resources such as open textbooks, guidebooks, course materials, lessons and more. PressBooks also has dynamic features natively baked in – including H5P content creation, Hypothes.is annotation and embedded multimedia. If you’re looking to self-publish content of any length, and want a simple tool that enables customization, flexibility and accessible, varied publishing formats (EPUB, PDF, MOBI) with web-hosting options, PressBooks may be right for you. We’ll look at some examples of instructor-created and student-created content using PressBooks and start building your own sandbox resource so you can play and learn.
Come and discover how you can use PressBooks for publishing content and explore the interactive features that amp up engagement and empower your teaching and learning.
