The default arrangement of Avenue’s course shell prioritizes functionality over usability – but poor usability can introduce unnecessary frustrations for your students and act as a barrier to their learning experience. Luckily, there are numerous ways you can make your course shell easier to navigate and use for both you and your students. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn and apply techniques to improve the usability of your Avenue course.
By the end of the session, you will be able to…
Apply several usability improvements to your Avenue course
Perform a usability test on your Avenue course
List key practices to enhance the accessibility of the Avenue course
Facilitators: Devon Mordell, Educational Developer, MacPherson Institute
