Fall Updates from the Campus Store

Following the direction of the University, the physical Campus Store remains closed, but our website remains open. Campus Store staff are working behind the scenes to process incoming orders. This fall will be a very different one for all of us on campus, and the Campus Store team is ready to provide the supports to make it a successful one.

Business as Usual

Booklist: The fall 2020 booklist was launched live on August 12th. The booklist can be found here: textbooks.mcmaster.ca
Permalink: As we have done in previous terms, we are sharing a “permalink” to the booklist on the Campus Store for each course website with faculty to confirm course adoptions and to provide a direct link to share with students that will take them to the course materials needed for your course.
Format Options: To address issues of textbook affordability and accessibility, in addition to sourcing used copies wherever possible we also source alternate formats such as loose-leaf, packages and e-texts/access codes. Where a publisher provides these options, we work to source these alternate formats so that students can choose the option that best suits their learning style and budget.
Digital Resources: We have worked with publishers to ensure digital resources are available for as many courses as possible. Our digital platform, Campus eBookstore, is fully integrated with our e-commerce site. After a purchase is completed, students are emailed a redemption code and instructions on how to access their digital product.

Changes for fall 2020

Store Closed: Following direction from the University, the physical Campus Store will remain closed for the start of the fall term. Our website remains open.
Web Orders: All course materials purchases will be done through our webstore (students can purchase their materials – both physical & digital online)
New Payment Options: This fall, we have added new payments methods on our website. Students will be able to make their payments using a credit card, Visa/Mastercard gift card, Visa Debit and McMaster Student Card. All transactions are safe and secure and protect student’s private information.
Free Shipping in Canada: We are offering free shipping anywhere in Canada for orders over $75.00 before tax, through October 24th, 2020
International Shipping: We are also able to ship orders internationally using FedEx to ensure tracking and quick delivery.
Pick Up Window: For students that are local, we are offering a Pick Up Window at the exterior entrance to the store. The Pick Up Window hours can be found here: https://campusstore.mcmaster.ca/information/hours.html
Live Chat: We have implemented a live chat function on our website that will be staffed each day to assist with quick responses to inquiries and questions from students.
