The default arrangement of Avenue’s course shell prioritizes functionality over usability – but poor usability can introduce unnecessary frustrations for your students and act as a barrier to their learning experience. Luckily, there are numerous ways you can make your course shell easier to navigate and use for both you and your students. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn and apply techniques to improve the usability of your Avenue course.
The third in a three-part series on accessible practices for Avenue course development.
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
- Apply several usability improvements to your Avenue course
- Perform a usability test on your Avenue course
- List key practices to enhance the accessibility of an Avenue course
