The Avenue Course Design Checklist is an interactive resource to support you in the design of your Avenue Course shell. Based on several course quality rubrics, the checklist outlines essential and recommended items to help make your Avenue course more effective and usable for students.

The checklist is geared towards anyone with an Avenue course shell, regardless of whether their course is blended or fully online, and does not assume the use of any specific tools in Avenue (e.g. gradebook, rubrics, quizzes, etc.).

There are two parts to the checklist:

• a “before you begin” explanation of the checklist items, with areas to make exportable notes (“About the Checklist”) to help with your planning;
• a series of interactive checklists to verify you have the components you wish to include.
