In coordination with Lucas Kayssi, a graduate student in Philosophy, the MacPherson Institute will be hosting a humanities-focused dialogue on the role AI plays or should play in teaching, learning, and research in higher education. The purpose of this event is to continue sharing current thoughts on the topic and to inspire some critical thinking about future policies (e.g., for course syllabi). The event is also open to presenters who would like to speak informally about an AI-related topic or experience, ranging from anecdotes about students’ use of AI to demonstrations of how and why instructors have chosen to incorporate or ban the technology.
