The Digital Learning Strategic Framework team is offering a series of “Online Learning Workshops” for McMaster instructors.


EdTech Tools: Navigating the Promise and Pitfalls


We often find ourselves standing at the crossroads between the use of technology tools as trendy or as evidence-based practice. This session will look at how you can select and use (or not use) technologies to create learning activities that support, extend and enrich learning experiences. Participants will receive a preview of our institutionally-supported platforms and consider how to select technologies that support, extend and enrich online teaching and learning experiences. This will include discussion and engagement to address topical peer-to-peer teaching challenges and successes. You will leave equipped with an understanding and a process on how to evaluate and integrate technology into your curriculum in a way that meets both your and your learners’ needs.
