Open Pedagogy is a learner-driven practice that involves students as active creators and contributors of knowledge through the use of renewable assignments. The products of open pedagogy practice are openly-licensed and impact the community beyond the classroom. Join us for this drop-in workshop as we help demystify what open pedagogy is, how it can be used in online teaching and highlight real life examples that you might consider using in your online teaching and learning experiences. These include adoption, adaptation and creation of OER, collaborative syllabus design, timeline creation and web annotation through the use of Hypothes.is and more.
Facilitator: Joanne Kehoe, McMaster University – MacPherson Institute
Platform: Zoom (details provided upon registration)
Note that this webinar is only open to McMaster faculty, staff and students. Any others (those joining from a non McMaster-affiliated email) will be removed.
