MacPherson Institute Office Construction: April – August 2026 

Beginning April 23, 2026, the MacPherson Institute office space will not be accessible while the Mills Library undertakes a renovation project to remove and replace the exterior brick lattice facade and windows. Construction is expected to last until the end of August 2026, but there is a possibility this work could extend into September. 

Impacts 

• Access to studio spaces may be limited during certain periods due to noise or location of construction work. To inquire about studio availability, please submit your request to https://mibooking.mcmaster.ca/.  
• In-person programming for the MI Classroom is being relocated 
• In-person support/meetings can be arranged in advance by contacting staff directly, emailing mi@mcmaster.ca for general requests, or by contacting faculty key contacts. 
• Staff will continue to be available for support virtually during regular business hours 
• No other disruptions to the MacPherson Institute’s support and services are expected. Updates will be shared if this changes.   

Virtual Support Hours: Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
