Ontario Extend Summer 2021 Offering

All Extend modules are now available as facilitated courses with optional synchronous and asynchronous check-ins!
This summer eCampus Ontario is offering all six Extend modules as facilitated courses with optional synchronous and asynchronous check-ins delivered in the Brightspace Learning Management System. Beginning June 7th and with continuous enrollment through to August 28th, the flexible approach to facilitated delivery offers Ontario’s post-secondary educators multiple opportunities during this 12-week period to engage with each one of the six program modules in a way that meets their busy schedules and is free of charge.
Who should participate?
Full time faculty, part-time faculty, teaching assistants, librarians, instructional developers and/or anyone from your institution involved in the delivery of online or technology enabled education is welcome!
Ontario Extend is a micro-credentialed professional learning program grounded in the belief that the impact of learning should be the primary motivator for creating technology-enabled and online learning experiences. It aims to empower educators to explore a range of emerging technologies and pedagogical practices for effective online and technology-enabled teaching and learning.
Extend explores key skills, knowledge, and attributes required to extend and transform our teaching and learning practices and to enrich our professional development. The program is designed to contribute to the digital fluency of educators and to support their decision making for the appropriate use of digital tools. The modules are designed to be self-paced or used as a customizable component of teaching and learning programs for educators within their institutions.
