A Teaching Refinement is an opportunity to have a member of the MacPherson Institute help you collect anonymous feedback from students and respond to it mid-way through the term. Applications for a Winter 2022 term Teaching Refinement are now open! We are only able to offer a limited number of teaching refinements. To apply for yours, please complete the MacPherson Institute Request Form by 11:59 pm on January 30th 2022.
A Teaching Observation is an opportunity to receive feedback from a member from the MacPherson Institute on your teaching. This process can be implemented for virtual, online, or in-person courses anytime throughout the term. To request a Teaching Observation, please fill out the MacPherson Institute Request Form. Teaching observations can be completed at any time throughout the academic year.
Prefer to Do It Yourself? Check out our Collecting Midterm Student Feedback guides and pre-created, anonymous survey templates (available in Avenue and Microsoft Forms), with options appropriate for both large and small courses. You can even add your own custom questions based on the kind of feedback you’re looking for. Download the resources here.
