Teaching Refinements and Observations Opportunities

Are you an instructor or a teaching assistant who is curious about how your students will respond to your teaching approaches in the Spring 2022 term? Consider utilizing one of the MacPherson Institute’s formative Feedback Services!
A Teaching Refinement is open to course instructors. It is an opportunity to have a member of the MacPherson Institute help you collect anonymous feedback from students and respond to it mid-way through the term. Applications for a Spring 2022 term Teaching Refinement are now open! Please be advised that we are only able to offer a limited number of teaching refinements per term. To apply for yours, please complete the MacPherson Institute Request Form by 11:59 pm on May 13th 2022.
A Teaching Observation is open to course instructors and graduate students who are teaching assistants. It is an opportunity to receive feedback from a member from the MacPherson Institute on your teaching. This process can be implemented for virtual, online, or in-person courses anytime throughout the term. To request a Teaching Observation, please fill out the MacPherson Institute Request Form.
Prefer to Do It Yourself? Check out our Collecting Midterm Student Feedback guides and pre-created, anonymous survey templates (available in Avenue and Microsoft Forms), with options appropriate for both large and small courses. You can even add your own custom questions based on the kind of feedback you’re looking for. Download the resources here.
